Q: What’s your earliest musical memory?

My mother would sing “You are My Sunshine” to me to try get me to sleep. Apparently I was a fussy kid, because I still get grief about how I wouldn’t go to bed and how I would only eat hotdogs.

Q: What’s the most unusual instrument you’ve played?

In college some random guy pulled me into an impromptu public duet using instruments that had a crank and ratchet.  They made clacking noises.

Q: Do you have a good luck charm or some kind of ritual before a performance?

I often down a large Dunkin’ Donuts coffee before a show.  It makes me hyper awake and jittery and I’m not really sure why I do this to myself.

Q: Share with us some of your musical guilty pleasures!

The CATS soundtrack.  Who will attend the Jellicle Ball with me?
